My husband is 30 and literally just had all his wisdom teeth removed. His recovery was waaaay better than mine when I had it done when I was a teen. His was just freezing (didn’t go under) and they just removed them whole. This is just personal speculation but I think because they’re removing them whole instead of digging out bones and chipping away at them the recovery is smoother and faster. He didn’t swell up and wasn’t in a lot of pain afterward. I hope the similar is for you! :)
This is amazing! Sorry you got up at 3 but well done. Little known fact: I still have all 4 wisdom teeth at 71. My dentist told me at 38 that I was too old to worry about them. So I haven’t. Must have been the midwestern fluoride in the water as a kid. No issues. Phew!
yes! the midwestern fluroide is super helpful. No cavities, mom! Hank, however, wasn't so lucky on his last trip to the dentist and I was reminded that he doesn't have the weekly monday morning swish of fluroide like I did in school.
Can't comment on wisdom tooth extraction [though I did have 4 teeth pulled from my skull at 16, and then went to work my shift at the Dairy Queen Brazier that same afternoon]. #teenresilience
I can relate to the "love what you do timeline" as I'll be celebrating 25 years at my PDX Brand Experience Agency haunt: SGK this August. At 57 yo, feel like I'm doing some of my best work as a Creative Director ever, though my ability to bounce back from agency paced "feast" weeks ever harder/take more outta me...days get shorter & time moves faster.
Retirement though still a handful of years off --builds excitement towards my next chapter...it's all good & I cherish every minute!
Congrats on the tuxedo shirt; you finally made it! And NEVER TRUST DENTISTS. They don't care about you and they just want your teeth.
omg THOM! must keep ALL teeth!!!!
Hang tough, Kate!
I LOVE your drawings and anecdotes. Thank you for sharing.
thank you thank you Nikki!! <3
If you have the teeth out, take Arnica before and after. You will heal much faster. I have used for surgeries and even when I got a tattoo. https://www.boironusa.com/product/arnicamontanaradix/
thank you for the tip! I really want a FAST recovery time!
