Happy Birthday, David Lynch. Drawing a collection of chairs. Latch hook rugs. Movie watching. Trying hard to buy nothing new. And trying to not look at my phone every five seconds.
I made the leap to putting my FB & IG in a subfolder on my phone and bid adieu & walked away. Did open a Bluesky acct, which the lack of ads in my feed alone (for now…capitalism always eventually wins) is EXTREMELY refreshing…will I go back? Here’s hoping that answer is NO.
Second: My feet also went up one size and got wider after having Hana 🫠 point toed shoes are no longer an option for me. Thankfully they didn’t get even bigger after the second kid 🤣🤣
I haven’t read Catherine Price’s How to Break up with Your Phone yet but I do very much recommend her other book The Power of Fun. It was really one of ‘those’ life altering books. With a few simple exercises it reunites you with that unabashed joyful and exhilarating, good for your soul fun you felt as a kid. And how to keep that spirit alive and as you mentioned keep your eye on the doughnut.
At first I read “one of my favorite worship activities” not “workshop” 🌅
I’m a secret youth pastor 😎
Love your chairs.
Thank you!
That David Lynch quote is going to stick with me for a while. I love it and donuts are my guilty pleasure.
it's so good!
