I am way more enamored with these riso-printed envelopes than I should be. Printing on envelopes on an edition of more than two always seems like a feat of technical strength. Oddly enough, Little Tina (my EZ 220u Risograph) cooperated on two envelope editions of 350. This summer, two issues of my mail club made it out into the world (a third one is being assembled and will be on its way in a few weeks). I also uploaded these issues to the Outlet shop if you want to check out these envelopes (and the zines, of course) with your own dang eyeballs. Speaking of risograph, we still have some seats left in our workshops for 2023 (October 13th, November 11th, and November 18th, to be exact), AND we have one seat left in our four-color process riso workshop that’s happening towards the end of the month. Let’s Print!

At the beginning of August, I shipped a priority mail package filled with 250 11x17 prints, three rolls of tape, a stack of zines, and one sketchbook to the University of New Mexico. On September 12th, I will give a Zoom talk to their Honor’s College students about my work. It’s open to the public if you are free at 10 a.m. PST—more information here, along with that handy Zoom link.

I love packing things up. That’s all.
Also, I will be making a schedule to send these newsletters out more. I plan on sharing the stuff I am up to but also pointing towards things I am consuming (reading, watching, doing) and some creative prompts, projects, teaching thoughts, and riso stuff. Is there anything you might like to see from me? I want to know!
Printing on Envelopes IS AWFUL
Those are some sexy envelopes! 😍 I like your idea for more posting here. Give me all your creative prompts, please! Teaching thoughts sounds fun too! 😄
